ScholarUp ("we", "our", "us") operates the ScholarUp mobile application and website at scholarup.in. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

• Account data: name, email, phone, password (hashed), profile photo, academic details
• Exam data: scores, ranks, attempt history, certificates
• Payment data: plan purchases processed via Razorpay (we do not store card numbers)
• Device data: FCM push token for notifications, app version, device type
• Usage data: study logs, community posts, AI chat interactions

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide scholarship exams, courses, and learning features
• Process subscriptions and generate GST invoices
• Send exam reminders, result alerts, and payment confirmations
• Improve app performance and prevent fraud/cheating in exams
• Comply with applicable Indian laws

3. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties including Razorpay (payments), Google Firebase (push notifications), Google Sign-In, and Anthropic Claude (AI features). Each has its own privacy policy.

4. Data Security

Passwords are hashed. API communication uses HTTPS/TLS. Access to admin systems is restricted. No method of transmission is 100% secure, but we use industry-standard safeguards.

5. Data Retention

We retain account and exam data while your account is active. You may request deletion by emailing support@scholarup.in.

6. Your Rights

You may access, update, or delete your profile data in the app. You can disable push notifications in device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

ScholarUp is intended for students aged 13+. Users under 18 should use the app with guardian consent.
